John Adamson received his initial dance training in London at the Arts Educational School, now ArtsEd, a school with an international reputation for excellence. Arts Educational School has produced dancers for renowned professional ballet companies throughout the world, including Houston Ballet’s own Artistic Director Emeritus, Ben Stevenson. John continued his ballet training at the Royal Academy of Dancing, Houston Ballet Academy and the Hartford Ballet Company where he danced professionally. John has danced roles in ballets ranging from the classics to neo-classical and modern.

 

John and Karen opened Adamson Ballet School in 1989.  John’s professional training, performance experience and gifted teaching make Adamson Ballet School the only school of its kind in Katy. A number of John’s former students have danced professionally. John and Karen have assembled a wonderful dance faculty at ABS, combining veteran teachers with exciting young talent to make Adamson Ballet School one of the very best dance schools in greater Houston.
